Splash is a fintech startup creating a marketplace of lenders and borrowers driven by machine learning. Series B funding / 150 employees. Reported directly to the CMO. Led the brand team of graphic designers, creative technologists, and copywriters to handle all communications for external marketing and internal company needs. Mentored and was responsible for design guidance with product design team.

Having worked with Brand New School as both freelancer and client I have always had a strong connection to the company, so it was an honor when the partners reached out. They were overhauling the LA office and looking for an ECD that understood how to build and grow a studio and had agency experience. Always one to enjoy a challenge in creative problem solving, I took the bait.

Founded and built award winning studio from 2013-2017 while at Martin Agency. In 2018 divested from Martin Agency (and parent holding company IPG) to become an independent business. Next three years were focused on growing Hue&Cry into a stable company with a national roster of brand and agency clients. Included setup of HR, payroll, benefits, startup funding, ongoing financial management, as well as creative leadership and executive producing Into The Flame a six minute animated short film.

While I continue to own Hue&Cry my involvement is now in an advisor capacity only.

Creative Director on Oreo account. One half of the lead creative team to win the Oreo business for Martin Agency. Helped create and manage campaigns for North America and global Oreo regions.  Managed teams internally and lead inter-agency teams across media, social, experiential, and traditional channels for global and regional specific campaigns and projects.

Spent fourth year abroad at Bartlett School of Architecture in London exploring solutions for urban renewal via media and experience design in Venice Italy in response to structural and cultural decline. 

Thesis year was a study of cultural monumentalism as genesis for generational support of mega-infrastructural achievement through the lens of a modern (post Apollo, post Mir & ISS) space exploration.
